I'm still kicking

Hello dear friends, I am finally on the mend and now up and about.   The girls have been driving us nuts they are not used to their mum being down and out.  Since I've been laid up nothing exciting has been happening, but I have managed to do a lot of crafting.  There are some benefits to having to leave your feet up.   The girls have a new little friend, heck, they adore him and he keeps them busy playing.

Have a great week.

Hello Again

Finally getting back on track here is little E overseeing the broken leg, making sure its comfy.  This is currently how I spend most of my days with my leg up.  The swelling won't seem to go away so I have been told to be a good girl and keep my leg up.  Still not allowed to put any pressure on it, so the crutches and wheelchair have become my best friend.  The upside to this is that I am getting a much needed rest and plenty of crafting time, which has been perfect, especially leading up to Bush Christmas.  The girls have been enjoying everymoment with Nanny and Pop, they love it here in the bush.
Thankyou everyone for your bestwishes, Looking forward to catching up with you all again very soon.

Have a great day.

Much needed break

I have been MIA for a few weeks now, and will still be for a few weeks to come.  I am currently stuck in bed with a badly broken leg and have been told to rest for 8 weeks.  So my blogging will be on hold till I am on the mend and can get up and about again.

Have a great day dear friends.

To Market To Market

We are off to Surat Fathers Day Markets this weekend.  This will be our first market for this year.  Now the weather is growing warmer we have decided to do a few markets to end off the year.
Surat is a lovely little country town about 1 hours drive away.  It is a great community, we enjoyed our visit to our last lot of markets there last year.

I have been laid low the past couple of weeks with this nasty flew that won't go away.  But we solider on.  Emeline woke up with it this morning so I hope she doesn't get it as bad as what I have had it.  It has certainly drained all my energy.

I have also been busy making my felt decorations, here are some of the latest.

Have a great week.

Neglected

I am so sorry dear friends for being absent for nearly 2 weeks, we are a little overwhelmed with everything that is going on at the moment, I'm afraid I don't even know where to start, I feel like I am just treading water, getting things done but not really moving forward.   August, September and October are probably our busiest months on the property along with schooling etc...  It doesn't leave much time.

The girls and I spent the last few days in Charleville for the School of Airs Sports Cluster Muster.  The girls had so much fun catching up with their friends and learning new sports they are exhausted but estatic.

The girls at the school disco waiting for some dinner with their bestest friends (4 blonde princesses).  They were wearing these handbands with butterflys that flash bright blue lights, very cute, but very distracting on the eyes.  They were sad to have to leave their friends and come home, luckily it is only a short time till mini school where they will see each other again.  They get to talk to each other on air, so cute.

I have been making some inchies (1"x1" square) for some swaps..  These are what I have managed so far.  I must say, these are quite addictive once you start making them and the girls like making them to.

Have a great day.

Good Morning

Good Morning all, yes I am up bright and early this morning.  I have been up since about 4.00, the dogs woke me barking at a wild pig that has been coming around the house in the early hours of the morning, mmmm.  Might have to do something about that.  So I have been busy doing some tidying and enjoying the peace and tranquility before the girls wake up.

We have had a busy week this week, I am in a few swaps at the moment so have been busy trying to fit those in between everything else.

We made some more ATC's these ones are for a Stampin Up monthly swap I am in, the theme was Christmas, I don't have any Christmas stamps yet, so I did what I could with what I had.  Are they Christmasy enough?

I have also joined up to do a beginners art journal swap and some inchie swaps.  Thought I might try and give something different that I have been wanting to do for a couple of years now a go.  Swapping seems to give me the motivation that I need to get things done.

The girls have also been busy helping, here is an envelope that Em made.

I just adore these ladies that she draws, have to love those lips.  Wish I had lips like those :-)

I have also been slowing posting pictures of the beautiful stationary I received in Creative Collectives Snail Mail Swap.  So here are the photos of the goodies I received, I was very spoilt.

So many goodies, some are too pretty to use, the girls and I just like looking.

Have also manage to squeeze in some stitching time there is only three months to go till Bush Christmas and I have a couple of very busy months ahead with school stuff, so I am trying to get as many decorations done as I can.  Haven't taken any photos yet, but will post some soon.

Thanks for visiting.

Have a fantastic weekend

What have we been doing

Goodmorning, once again another cold and frosty morning here.  We have had a busy week with dear husband going away and just the girls and I left to hold the fort.  There is so much more to do when he is gone, feed all the animals, check cattle (currently calving), check water... and the list goes on.  The girls enjoy doing all these extra jobs.

Also managed to squeeze in some crafting.

I just adore this felt heart decoration that I have filled with lavender.

Santa Sack Swap

There is a heavy fog here this morning, will have to wait till it clears to decide what kind of day we will have.
We had a very lazy weekend, haven't been feeling the brightest so we took it easy and did some crafting, the girls watched movies.  Elsie is a big Man From Snowy River fan (anything with horses really), so we watched that again.

I received by Sack in the post from my lovely santa swap partner Bronny, she was also kind enough to send presents for the girls.  They have already opened their presents which was ok by Bronny, they couldn't wait till Christmas, they haven't learnt the art of patience yet.  Here is a picture of the lovely sack she sent.

I know it is not the best photo, but it is a beautiful sack..  I am enjoying shopping and thinking of things to send Bronny.  The girls are also going to make and send some things to.  They get just as excited as me.

Don't forget to enter my Christmas in July giveaway..

Have a great day.

We've been busy in the household this week trying to get back on track with the school work and with visitors, it has been rainy here for the past 3 days, so dear husband finally decided to light the fire.  It has made a huge difference in the lounge room and our bedroom which backs onto the lounge room.  I don't know why we never lit before.   Well worth the investment of chopping wood.  Hope all is well in your world.

Have a fantastic week

We have 2 winners this week, both Emeline and Elsie wanted a go at picking a winner, so I let both of them have a go.

Paper Creativeness

Is Creativeness even a word.  I have trouble trying to think of titles.  The girls and I have been busy trying to use up some more of our paper stash.

We managed to make some more paper gift bags.

And some more pretty cards, we enjoy making these.  We seem to go through them very quickly as we like sending and giving pretty cards to people.

Have a wonderful day.

Thanks Peg

I received my tea towels in the post from the tea towel swap I was in.  My lovely swap partner Peg
you can find her here http://www.happyinquilting.blogspot.com/ ,  I was certainly spoilt.

Thanks so much Peg. xx

I finally snaffled the scarf that Shez sent me for our Winter Swap off Elsie, so I could take a photo, this scarf is so soft and fluffy, Elsie never wants to take it off.

In between sick children and tidying the house because we have visitors arriving, I managed to finish a couple more birds and a heart.

Have a great weekend.
