My Creative Space

The ladies are coming over today to try and get me organsied for Bush Christmas.  Somehow I don't think they are going to have much success, but its good that they keep trying.  I'm afraid I am too easily distracted.

I have also been inspired by all the crocheted facial scrubbies/washers on blogs and started some of my own for Christmas presents.

Since taking the photos, I have managed to finish them off.  They are so soft, I might have to keep one for myself, purely for testing purposes of course.

Rachel from Pink Lizzy Sews Blog inspired these, she has the site to link to for the pattern here:

Why not have a go they were pretty easy:-)
Have a great day.

Alot happening

Ladies craft day yesterday.  We had 15 ladies come out from St George and Thallon to enjoy a day of craft and friendship.  Will have to do it again, one day soon.

The children all paid quietly together, wouldn't even have known they were there.

The most popular kits of the day:

Feather Angels

Flower Coasters:

Square Coasters:

Round Coasters:

What I am reading:

I received this delightful book in the post.  I can't wait to start trying some of the recipes.

And last but not least.  I have added these cute heart decorations to my Made It store this morning:

Hope you all have a fantastic day.  We have visitors.  The girls are enjoying the change of company :-)

Goodbye my friend

Our dear little Lucy passed away on Thursday night.  We miss her very much, we can not go outside without thinking about her and being sad.  We found our little dogs last Christmas, dumped not far from my Mum's place. We looked for their owners but no one came forward.  To E & E's excitement they got to keep them.  They had already named them Lucy and Tom as soon as I put them in the car.  They were little mini foxies, and they sure were little characters, they brought smiles to our faces all day everyday.  Our girls had been wanting a little dog of their own for so long, and then we had them.  Dad has dogs, but they are his working dogs, and they really only pay attention to him, as it should be.  We lost Tom at the end of Summer to a snake and now our darling little Lucy joins him, it  seems twice as bad this time, at least when Tom went we still had Lucy...

Time goes on and children cope alot better then us adults I think.  E & E are up early and already planning their craft projects for today.

I have been working on some Cards, some were for the Calico & Co stationary swap, some were just because.

I just wanted to share them with you.

Have a great weekend

Market Lag

I think I might be suffering from Market Lag,  I just seem to be unable to get back into the crafty groove this week.  But I will solider on, and it will have to kick back in eventually.

I bought these patterns and they arrived while we were away last week, so I have promised the girls I will whip these up for them.

Both these skirts are so cute.  I couldn't decide.  So I will make both, yes ambitious seeing as I have 2 girls, that equals 4 skirts.  :-)  But we can't leave Elsie out as she likes new clothes too.
Have a fantastic day.

Sunny Tuesday

A sure sign spring is here, my little girls found this top knot pidgeon with a nest just outside our bedroom window yesterday.

Today is one of those rare beautiful days where the weather is just perfect, you know what I mean, not too hot, not too cold, just right.  The perfect washing day, gardening day etc..  The perfect day for leaving the windows and doors open and you know the dust won't come blowing in.  Hopefully the road drys out enough from our recent lot of rain that I can get into town tomorrow.

This picture is for you Ruby, Emeline wanted to show you how long her hair is getting.

Ruby is my neice she is now in grade 2, her hair is down to her bottom now.  Emeline's is almost there.  You try explaining that she may never catch up, unless of course Ruby has a haircut.

Have a great day.

Market Day

Yeah, we got to the market on Saturday.  It was very touch and go, as rain had been predicted.  Woke up at 4 am, yes it was very early.  Espeically after a week of early mornings.  Merilee picked me up at 5.20, at the front of property and we drove on to meet Michelle, she lives about 10 minutes (as Merilee drives very fast) down the road, and yes she is my neighbour.  We live a fair distance apart out here.  Off we went to Mitchell for the Fire and River Festival.  Mitchell is approximately 120 km from my frontage, so it took us about 1 hour to get there, they wanted a 7am set up.  It was so cold, Mitchell is in a little bit of a hollow and it gets so cold.  We had our coats on all day.  Despite the constant fear of rain.

The day was a great one.  We had a great response to our kits.  Which was great we were starting to get a little worried that what we thought were a good idea, wasn't what anyone else thought.  Yes we all  have that fear.  I also had a great response to my little felt decorations and felt hairclips, which really made my day.  Met some great new people and made some new friends.  Also met a lovely lady who is addicted to wool as I am, she spins and does a little felting.  It was so good to find someone else out around here with similar interests.  Anyway finished at 1.00 and it just started to spit as we left.

Now to start getting ready for the craft day we are having next week for a group of local ladies.

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend.

Resuming Transmission

Firstly, I must apologise, we had to go away in a hurry for a family emergency back in Brisbane, so my giveaway was put on the backburner, then while we were away we decided to come home via Gyranda, at Theodore, for a bull sale.

Photos of Gyranda.  Very different to where we live, no mountains out here.

First thing this morning Emeline and I got onto the task of picking a winner, as Emeline was enjoying herself so much we decided to giveaway 2 packs.  Could Keshia (the wiggens tribe) and  M.E. Cathie - please email me at  emecreate@bigpond.com  with your address, so we can get them in the post for you.

Thankyou to everyone that took the time to stop by and say hi, we love that you come to visit.   We have a market tomorrow, fingers crossed we get to this one,  usually it rains, and this happens

We have water front views and we get stuck for about 3 days..

Have a great Friday.    xx
