I finally took the plunge yesterday and added some of my kits and things to my Etsy shop my little bird kit was getting a little bit lonely all by itself.  I woke up this morning to find out  my simple star kit is featured in an etsy treasury.  This has made my Sunday.  It is so exciting.

Sorry I'm not sure how to post the picture of the treasury but here is the link:

Paper Creativeness

Is Creativeness even a word.  I have trouble trying to think of titles.  The girls and I have been busy trying to use up some more of our paper stash.

We managed to make some more paper gift bags.

And some more pretty cards, we enjoy making these.  We seem to go through them very quickly as we like sending and giving pretty cards to people.

Have a wonderful day.

Thanks Peg

I received my tea towels in the post from the tea towel swap I was in.  My lovely swap partner Peg
you can find her here http://www.happyinquilting.blogspot.com/ ,  I was certainly spoilt.

Thanks so much Peg. xx

I finally snaffled the scarf that Shez sent me for our Winter Swap off Elsie, so I could take a photo, this scarf is so soft and fluffy, Elsie never wants to take it off.

In between sick children and tidying the house because we have visitors arriving, I managed to finish a couple more birds and a heart.

Have a great weekend.

Saturday

So Saturday is here again.  A friend once told me that when we are little time passes slowly as we have so much life left to live and as we get older time passes quickly as we are getting older as we have already lived awhile :-) (nice way of putting it).  When you sit and think about it, this sort of makes sense...  Well I think it does anyway, not that there is any truth in it, its just another one of those things that gets put out there.

What did we do this week, school work, school work and more school work and some Christmas Decorations.

And I finally finished this stitchery, I worked out I that I started this stitchery in 2006.  About time I finished it, now to think about what I am going to do with it.

We have friends coming to visit with the girls today, so they are hyper excited, its been awhile since we've had a play date.  What are you up to this weekend?

Its another rainy day here today, thats 2 in a row now, its making it very cold.  Hopefully it will disappear soon.  I have been busy making some early Christmas decorations.  I love making these it doesn't matter what time of the year it is......  Have also been working on Elsie's blanket, she keeps asking me if I'm done yet?  Hopefully I will have it finished very soon, it is taking me far longer than I expected.

Oops I almost forgot that I finished some more little birds.

Included in kit:  Pre-cut cardboard flower, Pre-cut felt flower shapes.

Skill Level:  Very Easy.  Pasting.

This kit is very affordable at the bargin price of only $1.00.

Things have been slow on the farm this week, it has been too cold to do anything except hibernate in the one warm room we have in our home.  I dream of living in a home where you can be in any room of the house in winter and not feel winters chill.  I don't wan't it so warm that you only wear a T-Shirt, but how I would love it to be a comfortable warmth.

Happy Sunday

We are all very tired on Surprise this morning, and a little under the weather, Emeline was up before the sun came up which meants that Mummy is tired too.

The girls have been doing a little sidewalk art.

What started this drawing on the footpath craze.  A school project, we had to draw around Emelines shadow.  It constantly amazes me what simple things can create a spurt of creativity.

My sister Bec has been busy again.  You can find her blog here   http://rebeccamillerdesigns.blogspot.com/.
I love them Bec.

I just love the neckwarmers she has been creating out of her handspun wool.  My dad makes the wooden buttons, they are just devine.  I dream of being able to crochet like Bec.  I'll just keep practicing.

I am off now to spend the day in the warm lounge room doing some craft and spending some time with my girls.

Have a happy Sunday

Parcels in the post

I am a bit late in writing this blog.  When we got back from our trip away, there were 2 parcels waiting for us to open.

The first one was from my Once a Season (Winter) swap partner Shez, you can find her here,
http://shez-enjoyinglife.blogspot.com/   I love everything she sent, there is also a beautiful feather scarf, which I have to take a photo of my camera isn't playing so nice at the moment, Shez has a photo of the scarf on her blog, if you want to head over for a look, here is a picture of the rest of the stuff she sent, I am one lucky girl.  I took this photo a couple of days ago, Elsie had snaffled the scarf, so it missed being in this photo, I found it today in her cupboard, I think I am going to have to share.

I also won a prize.

Thanks Vari, they are wonderful almost to nice to use.  You can find Vari here http://buttercupink.blogspot.com/.

You never bake anymore

My DH reminds me on a regular basis "You never bake anymore".  I love baking yummy things to eat, in fact since we've been married he has never had reason to complain, but lately I have been to busy to bake.  But to satisfy DH and get me back into baking mode, I made this quick and easy cake yesterday morning (early) by lunch time I remember why I don't bake so much anymore (it was all gone).

Quick and Easy Cake

1 small cup of sugar
dash of vanilla
3 tablespoons butter (soft)
2 eggs
1 1/4 cups of SR Flour
3/4 cup of milk

Put ingrediants in a bowl together and mix till smooth.  Bake in moderate oven, for about 45 minutes.

I used 1/2 cup of sugar and threw in a handful of mixed fruit instead.

And there you have it a quick and easy cake recipe that disappears before your eyes.

Have a fantastic day

A new knitting book

On our recent trip for Emeline, I left Emeline with Nanny while Elsie and I went off and had a little girl time.  I took Elsie to Spotlight and this is the book she chose.  I must admit I have never knitted animals before and of all the things she could have chosen she chose this, she just had to have it.  So it the bag it went, along with a ball of pink and purple wool (Elsie's favourite colours).

This is what I have managed so far, I think it is supposed to be a tadpole, Elsie thinks it is a ghost, she is into ghost's at the moment.  Anyway, it is sort of cute, but it is tiny it only measures about 5cm high and if you include the tail about 8cm long.  The instructions were easy to follow, and are great if you are a beginner knitter, I think it would also be a good book for a child to learn to knit with, as the projects knit up quick.  It took me about an hour, but I am a very slow knitter.

Have a great day
