Transmission resumed

My satellite system, seems to be a bit glitchy (is that a word?).  It seems to be chucking it in alot and I have to fall back on my old faithful dialup system.  I don't know from one day to the next if it will be up and running.  Therefore my updates are all over the place, I also miss catching up on all the lovely blogs I enjoy reading.  Still raining here, I think so far we have manage 1 whole day without rain, managed to get to town on Monday, lucky for me, as the river is now back up to about 7metres.  No going to town till next week, I hope it settles down soon.  Still have to get presents next week.  Maybe I can float across  :-)  Hope everyone is having a great time leading up to Christmas.

What have we been doing?  Cattle work, in between the showers of rain, and going along fences, most of the fences got damaged in the big storm we had a couple of weeks ago, it is only just dry enough to go along them.

Going stir crazy......  Don't you love school holidays.

Have a great day

Stir crazy

Yes the rain is still here, it is certainly hanging around.  I would like a clear day or 2 so I could go to town, twice now I have headed off only to find that the road is still cut to town.  I am not one for driving through a flooded road.  My DH has promised to take me to town on Monday.  The children and I are starting to go a little crazy being unable to get anywhere other than around the house.  Thank heavens for the singing Elivs dog.  (No wonder I am going stir crazy.)

Have a great day.

Quickly Mummy

I crocheted this blanket for Big E about 3 years ago while getting over an illness.

While I was pulling out the decorations I found the blanket I have started for Little E, I started this one, about 3 years ago after I finished Big E's.

Whenever I sit down to do a little more, Little E sits down with me, puts it over her lap and says "finish it quickly mummy".  I always feel guilty.  Don't you wish you had more hours in the day.

We finally got the tree up and decorated, I left all the glass balls off this year, and let the girls do it all.  Little E having a rest under the tree.

Getting ready for Christmas

I've been pretty slack this year.  Usually my Christmas is up and fully decorated by now, but due to a week of wet weather, I was only able to hose it down this morning.  Fingers crossed it gets dry before the next lot of rain.

I kept the girls busy making some Christmas decorations.  I did manage to get out the Christmas DVD's and Books.  We are managing to get quite a collection now.

Have a great weekend

Carpet Snakes and other things

My mum has this rather large carpet snake living on their verandah.  Big E has taken a couple of its skin to school for show and tell, but it has always been hiding when we have been visiting.  Not this time, it stayed curled up in the rafters the whole time we were there, coming down at night.  The girls spent most of their time checking to see if it had moved at all.

For my mum the latest photo of the frog tamer.  Big E adores frogs and for some reason they don't jump off her, she can walk around with them like this.  At least we have one person that finds them easy to catch.

Another week has flown by, which means Christmas is getting even closer.  I haven't done any Christmas shopping yet.  I am usually so organised.  I am finding it hard to muster the energy it requires this year.  Maybe next week will be better.

Have a great weekend

Home at last

Finally got home from Toowoomba.  We had a wonderful time away.  Everything was delivered to Bush Christmas on time.  It looked fantastic.  There is so much stuff there, so many creative people. The girls and I got our junk food fix and shopping fix.  They had a great time catching up with their cousins.

My darling husband cleaned and cobwebbed the house for me while I was away, it was so nice to arrive home to a neat and tidy house.  I will admit, it is hard to leave it tidy with little girls running around.  They are doing their best today to undo his good deed.  :-)

Now its time to start getting ready for the next lot of markets. So much to do.

Michelle and Merilee went to Surat markets on the weekend and had quite a busy time.  Michelle is off to Mt Tamborine markets this weekend, unfortunately I was away a little longer then expected and can't go to this one.  Maybe the next one.

Have a great day

Pack up day

Yesterday was one of those days where I wish I had stayed in bed.  Had to go to town to get the car serviced as I am going away and it was long overdue, only to be advised that it wouldn't be ready until at least 3.00, as a part on the bullbars had been recalled and they needed to replace it.  Well to try and spend 6 hours in St George is practically impossible, with a total of about 3 shops even remotely worth looking in, that was only 1/2 hour gone.  Anway Little E and I managed.  Finally arrived home after collected Big E from our neighbour at about 5.30, the rest etc. etc...  Had no time to work on anymore creative stuff.  Sigh.

Today is pack up day for bush christmas, plus tidy the house for husband day, as I am leaving for Toowoomba tomorrow.

On the bright side I get to see my Mum, Sister and her family and catch up which has been long overdue.

I will leave you with a couple more sneak peeks before I go.

Have a great weekend.

Birthdays

Little E was 4 the other day, how quickly time flies by.

Chocolate mudcake birthday cake.

Birthday shirt/dress from Narioka (thanks Julie), it suits as a short dress, my girls are only tiny.

Princess from Calamity Bolt (a welcome partner for Blackie).

Big E was allowed to stay home from school for the day, so that Little E wasn't lonely on her birthday.  A birthday party was planned for the weekend, but thanks to high temperatures and threat of rain, we cancelled.  Maybe next year.  The good thing about Little E is that she is so easy going, she couldn't care less.

Have a great day

The winner is

Little drew the winners name from the bucket this morning, for my week 3 giveaway.

Congratulations
9.  Krissie

If you could please email me your address at emecreate@bigpond.com  I will get these in the post to you.

Thankyou everyone for stopping by and entering.

I have been abit lazy with my blog lately, the problem is that I am still on dialup and it is too slow.  So I have decided that until next week, when I finally get satellite, I will take a little break from uploading pictures etc.  Hopefully I should be up and running again by Saturday.

Now for my week 4 giveaway, seeing as my system will be down, I will extend this giveaway into next week and draw it next Wednesday, to allow for Melbourne cup.

So I have decided to give away a complete package of our Kits that we have for sale.
This totals approximately 43 different kits, which include my felt kits and kits for Children.

Sorry there are no pictures but if you head over to my other blog http://begoniacountrycrafts.blogspot/
there should be some pictures on there to give you some ideas.

So please just leave a note saying hello, and we will draw the winner next week.

Have a fantastic week

Friends Swap

I joined in a Friendship Swap organised by the lovely Khristina from http://www.sewprimkhris.blogspot.com/.   I received my lovely gifts in the post on Monday.  Thankyou Geniene  (http://rennyandme.blogspot.com/) for the wonderful surprises.  Big E and little E were so excited to get their little gifts too.  Thankyou so much for thinking of them,  I will take some more pictures tomorrow and post them for everyone to see.  They have been carting their little bags around everywhere.  Everything was perfect, you have done a wonderful job.  I am only sorry I have not been able to email you, as I am having trouble with Bigpond.  Everytime I heard a plane go over, it brought a smile to my face thinking of your airmail comment.  Once again thankyou so much, and thankyou Khristina for hosting it.

Thankyou Keshia

I would like to give a big thankyou and a big hug to the lovely Keshia of The Wiggens tribe, who has just started a new blog, for her creative endevours  http://charlieandava.blogspot.com/ .  Keshia was kind enough to mention me in her Made It Finds, this is my first one.  This is so very exciting for me, it made my week in truth it probably made my whole year.

Please take the time to check it out, it is well worth the visit, this beautiful blog has been designed by the creative Amanda Fuller of Calico&Co, to showcase Keshia's very wonderful creative art works.

Have a great day.
